Located in the city of Gulf Shores on the coast of Alabama, Gulf State Park is a 6,150-acre (2,490 ha) state park in Gulf Shores,Alabama in southern Baldwin County. The park property mostly covers the land behind the Gulf Shores beach community, between Highway 59and SH 161, but the west end extends further south with over 3.5 miles of beaches available in both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach along the Gulf of Mexico featuring a modern campground, Cabins, Cottages, Back Country Trails and the Largest Fishing Pier in the Gulf of Mexico! Additionally is an interactive Nature Center, Tennis Courts, beautiful Beach Pavilion, 18-hole Refuge Golf Course, and a 900 Acre Lake for fishing in the Picnic Area on Lake Shelby. The 18-hole championship golf course is open seven days a week from 7am - 6pm, complete with proshop & snack bar.
